Facial Trauma
Facial Trauma Treatment – Beverly Hills, Los Angeles
Life can be unexpected at times. Accidents can happen during sports activity, playing with your pets, or getting involved with the wrong type of crowd. Facial trauma refers to any trauma that involves the face. Cuts in the skin and broken bones can happen from these types of accidents and you should trust your face to an expert.
Please see the lacerations page for information regarding cuts of the face. For broken bones, the object of reconstruction is to restore the bony structure to the original form. Most surgeries can be performed without visible incisions on the face depending on where the fractures are.
If you have suffered any facial trauma and went to an emergency room, please request copies of the CT scan that they may have done. They should give you a CD with all of the images, which is more important that the actual report. Please bring that CD with you to the consultation. Usually fractures need to be repaired within 7-14 days, and we will make room in the schedule to see you as soon as possible. Typically, facial fractures are covered by insurance, so be sure to bring your insurance card with you to the consultation.
I have experience treating all types of facial fractures, and in patients of all ages. The consultation is free and all of your questions and concerns can be answered when you come in.
